I know there are alot of posts about this, but most if not all of them have people looking for a cheap comfortable pair. I'm asking about the most comfortable headphones. ever. Everything from a lowly pair of apple earbuds to sony's MDR-R10s. If there already is a post about this, then sorry, but I've looked and most things are budgeted.

Thanks

the most comfortable is probably bolting a couple near-field monitors to your bed frame.

Anything else, someone here is gonna complain about.

Supposedly Bose headphones are quite comfortable.

Senn 590 are the most comfortable I've tried. Better than Bose even. Sadly I don't think they sound that good. (FAR better than any of the Bose though IMO)

I think Bose is very comfortable and pretty good sound.

My denon d2000's are pretty comfortable.
The padding on the headband is pretty nonexistant though, so d2000's with a beyer headband would probably be the most comfortable.

come on, those all touch the sides of your heads!

Floats are where it's at.

Beyerdynamic DT880, it really doesn't even feel like it's there.

i scoff at this thread because comfort is not the top factor in the design of high-end headphones.

People pay $3000 for headphones because of the way they sound.

There are supremely comfortable headphones all the way down to a $35 pair of MBQuart QP55x.

And frankly i wasn't joking - if you want total comfort, joerg jecklin's "float" concept is the undisputed king. Doesn't even touch your ears, and there's no little bumpers like a K1000.

Right now I have my MDR-CD780 on and it feels like a pillow.

IEM + Foam tips get my vote. Nothing on your head or your ears, and soft foam doing all the support. What's not to like?
