In researching prices and scarcity of certain devices I own, it looks like the the Monoprice THX is officially out of production on the Monoprice site, and labeled as 'Discontinued' on the retailer sites. Used ones are scarce on the second hand market right now, with none currently being on sale on eBay. I found one from a Japanese seller charging $495 for a used one. The retail price was $299 at debut a couple years ago, and dropped to $250 on most retailer sites about a year ago.
Not too many out in the wild for sale, so for those that have one this may be something that only goes up in value, and a good investment.
The Audio Science Review site pretty much burued this thing, but i know from reviews across audiophile sites and Youtube channels that it has a strong cult following, especially by the Zeos review on it.
I will keeo monitoring the prices, and report back in a month with availability and price ranges on the second hand market spanning ebay, amazon, offerUp and reverb.
