Alright, first of all, I'm hoping this is the right forum for this question.
I'm wondering if someone could briefly explain to me or point me in the right direction that would explain to me how you get an idea if your source outputs enough power to drive your headphones of a given impedance.
Example, I want to get the Beyerdynamic DT 990 250 ohm. Now, I know MP3 players cannot drive 250 ohm headphones to the fullest, but comparing what specifications of the MP3 player and the headphone do we know that?
Also, how do I estimate if a given headphone amp (say, the Fiio E5 or E7) will be able to drive those headphones?
I'm planning to get this CD player from newegg. How can I know upto what impedance headphones can be driven by them?
