Lol. You really believe that I don't know which headphones I have :)))

The model is JVC HA-S680-B (copy past from my signature :). They are not the black and red ones and Gunmetal definitely gives a good idea of their colour. They are not black, not blue. Maybe metal anthracite then ?!

They are just called black. I would love to have these in gunmetal.

Yes these, but I can tell you that they are not black at all, what ever they are called :)

I will try to take pictures of them or I might find something on the net that would give you a better idea of what they look like in real as "black" is a very misleading description.

Hi,

Do you have them? Are they black, 'cause if they are it would mean I have fake ones.

They would either be black and red or black and silver.

I've had these for about 2 months now, they're burnt in and all but for some reason I can't enjoy them. Although I enjoy the extra soundstage, something feels off. Guess I might need to do a pad swap and also EQ them. For now, I still enjoy my S500's more.

Try boosting treble.
If you like S680 better this way, it just means that you like S500's V-shaped signature more than S680's more balanced signature.

I find the 680's to have too much bass (despite it being really tame when compared to how they sounded out of the box) and to be lacking mids (despite most people saying they have good mids).   This is my Rockbox EQ for the S500's. Which I lined with felt on the inside of the cups, sealed the bass ports and swaped the stock pads for SJ5 pads. The inside of the pads are also stuffed with cotton. I'd say it is pretty neutral.
