The Ipod Stock Bud Appreciation Thread

Believe it or not, I also use my ipod stock buds when going to uni.

My e4's isolate way too much for walking around a busy place like uni. Sometimes its scary being blocked off to the outside world, and its too inconvenient having to put them on and off. I know it sounds crappy, but the earbuds are heaps convenient for five min intervals in between class, and throwing back into the pocket...

Why dont you use ur KSC35s,(If you do still have them, it says in ur profile you do). They would be tons better than the stock buds.

and to think it all started with those silly acoustimass speakers that everyone thought was so cool but sounded like, well sounded about as good as the triports.

i'm so tempted to pull my ipod buds out of their packaging just to see how they sound. maybe a better showdown would be between the ipod buds and the triports. and why are they called triports? do they have three ports built into the housing? does having two more ports give even better bass response?

ok, i'm rambling...

ipod earbuds have many excelent uses.

the wire can be used for a variety of day-to-day tasks. holding a door open near a bookcase, when the muffler on your 1989civic starts draging a temporary repair can be made, OR it can function as a sort of make-shift belt or shoelace. i have not found this particular cable especically good at transmision of any type of electronic signal: audio, digital, or otherwise.

the actual headphones also can be used for a variety of tasks. they work particularly well for making ears or hands on small figures. they can also be used to level a tilty/rocky table at a resturaunt. dont under any circumstances put them in yoru ears though.

the plug fromt eh ipod earbuds is excelnt for the above mentioned table mod, if the earbuds dont do it , the plug may be the correct size. the plug is also great for slingshot amo.

see, thats like 8 good uses for the ipod headphones.

I rec. a mini for my niece awhile back, and she likes the buds. She's not the type to care for SQ though, which IMO, doesn't make her any less of a person. Hell, she probably better off than me, who spends $300 on a pair of headphones. (who needs food anyway?)

But cmon, when we're talking bout bose, nothing else comes close. NOTHING. Triports are 4-eva dogs!!! Wazaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!!!!!!!

...and with the socks on they sound a bit more balanced than the other pack-ins that I have tried (with the possible exception of the senn buds packed with my Freecom Beatman back in the dawn of time).

I love my iPod earbuds so much that when I got my iPod, I left them sealed in the box in the back of my closet.

Of course to keep them in pristine condition when I decide to let these babies out.

Aliacha thats exactly what mine look like! And thats exactly where I keep them! And thats where they'll probably stay. Sound quality that bad even scares away closet-monsters.

I have had my iPod earbuds totally unused since my iPod was bought two years ago. I decided to give the iPod earbuds a listen recently and I was surprised at how good they sounded. I was expecting a lot worse. I think they aren't as bad as you guys are making them out to be.
