I did a little bit more thinking, and maybe it's not such a good idea to spend $400 on a set of portable phones, so now i'm thinking of IEMs again. Considering mainly the TWF11R, JVC FX500, and RE262. Any ideas?

The only thing I would say is I wouldn't trust JVC unless I could hear them first. Their idea of good sound and mine seem to be diametrically opposed.

Hmm, I'm looking for a thread but I can't find it, could someone help me out? It had a chart that compared the sonic strengths, weakness, good/bad synergies etc. of a lot of top-tier and near-top tier universal IEMs, does anyone have a link for it? Not ljokerl's thread.
