Hi guys some of you may know me from my reviews, while some of you may know me from the Headphone Buying Guide I set up, perhaps some of you don't know me at all. What I know is that there are possibly a lot of great headphones missing from this list in many price brackets. I update the list with my personal recommendations as I hear new headphones, but there are hundreds of great headphones I've not heard. I would love to have you guys recommend some headphones you feel belong there or possibly belong removed. I appreciate the help in advance!

Cheers,

Budget IEM:

-Philips SHE3580

-Monoprice 8320

-JVC HA-FX40

-Sony MH1C

Thanks, I'll begin reading some reviews on these. I make choices based upon credible reviews/opinions from those who have experience or other headphones to compare, so if you have any to share then please do!

Edit: Added the Philips and the JVC. The Monoprice I personally tried and the sound was very tinny and the IEMs were very uncomfortable. I wound up giving them away for free. They may sound good, but I'm sure there are similar products in a similar price range with a better sound. The Sony's I am not going to add, they seem to be hard to find.

I'd add TDK MT-300 to the budget group. Here's the thread on them...http://www.head-fi.org/t/640889/surprise-tdk-mt-300-4-97-of-awesome

I see talk in the thread of them being excellent for $5, then still a good deal for $10. I can't find them under $24, how are they in that price range?

Heya!

AKG K550

Sony MDR-1R

UE4000(Overlooked?)

XD

Thanks for sharing. I've heard the AKG K550 and I will be adding them. They aren't incredible sounding, but they are a good closed can for the price. I'll read some reviews on the Sony's. As for the UE4000, none of the UE 4000, 6000, or 9000 will make the list. I've personally tried 6000 and they were perhaps the cheapest feeling headphone I've ever used and one of them even broke when the attendant at the Apple store tried changing the batteries.
