I’m finding the amp unit gets much warmer than the power supply unit. There is a risk of RF/EMI inteference when stacking and if I had the space I probably would have my GS-X MK2 stacked with the power supply on bottom. With that said, I have my units separated on a small rack with my OPTO-DX sitting on top of the power supply unit.To the group,
I read in the manual that you should not stack the psu and amp? Is this a best practice recommendation, or a necessity? What are the complications if one did stack?
Sorry to spam I should have condensed my questions.

Nice!I stack mine with no issues.

I stack them, no issues except if you want high gain. I use medium gain. in high gain you need separation to prevent a slight humm. here my set up with TT
I had a problem with my Dave with this issue just like yours is setup.

Have you heard the Utopia or GS-X Mk2?Well you are talking about the utopia
which is already bright
YeahHave you heard the Utopia or GS-X Mk2?
Just curious how closely you've listened to them (Utopia)...in a meet or at home? I would describe them as neutral-ish with maybe a tad on the brighter side, but not by much.Yeah

Ok I never thought about separating tt from gsx, I’ll try reconfiguring, just to see what’s what
I have very very little time with utopia.Just curious how closely you've listened to them (Utopia)...in a meet or at home? I would describe them as neutral-ish with maybe a tad on the brighter side, but not by much.
I own the gsx.
When I did listen to the utopia I felt treble was harsh. I dunno. Maybe I just didn’t give it enough of a chance.
The treble is pretty far from harsh. Could be your upstr setup? I’d suggest some more auditions…they are quite special!I have very very little time with utopia.

3 years and counting with Yggdrasil A2 + GSX Mk2 + Utopia here. Perhaps the treble head minority here

If you like a little less snap in your snare or toot of the trumpet, hd800S works great, still wide n snappy
I’ve like never listened to a dynamic headphone I really liked all that much. I think the 800s are great but I just got rid of them because I always reach for planar. I definitely have a strong bias towards planar. I’ve never listened to ZMF. Everyone speaks highly of them. The treble is pretty far from harsh. Could be your upstr setup? Everyone has there own preferences, no one can convince me otherwise. Not that they try, it’s just preference
