Not sure if this is just an artifact of the photo, but are the LEDs on your GS-X blue? The ones on my blue GS-X are white.

I received my GSX Mk2 yesterday, and the sound is incredible. I started by using as a preamp (XLR connection) with my Pass XA30.5 and the result is very good. Then I connected my Sennheiser HD800 on 6.35mm jack and then balenced (XLR 4) and the sound is fantastic: no thin, not aggressive, with good bass, treble are very well defined with great extension. On the Jazz, the sound is very natural & the GSX Mk2 is neutral for me.

Good job Justin.

Black ones get blue leds.  That said, the brass feet look really out of place and along with the platform and cork kind of reminds me of Jenga

For what it's worth once the rubber feet warm up they stick to wood and the sliding stops.  At that point you need to forcefully pop the seal to move the amp.

At least amp and psu are not stacked

The amp is firmly in place, doesn't get any vibration and is bettter ventilated than with the tiny rubber feet.

What I find a little strange is the DACT rotates almost 360 degrees, i.e. beyond the markers. No issues at all with the volume adjustment itself. I use medium gain with the HD800. Source is my SA11S3 w. anticable XLR connects.

Mine does it too. Pretty sure I'll never get to the end but my perfectionist thinks it's a bit odd that there aren't markers all the way around when the pot moves almost 360 degrees.

My GS-X MK2 has just arrived and is resting confortably in it's new home. It is stunning, Justin is a true craftsman... And just in time for Canada Day, so I'll have plenty of time to test it out tomorrow.

Congratulations.  Sit back tomorrow with a brewsky and enjoy musical bliss.  Happy Canada Day.

You might want to get the GS-X off the LG to avoid the transformers introducing hum and the tubes heating the already hot GS-X.

sry, was a temp solution...

fast question to owners: is it me can't notice any volume/level difference between balanced/unbalanced outputs?
also, approx burn-in time to get best from it: 300 hours will do the job???

If the source is balanced, then yes there is a 6dB bump up for balanced.  If the source is single ended... single ended out regardless of where you plug in.

The amp already have 10+ days of burn in when you got it.  Once it's warm, you're good.  Essentially an hour to warm up, overnight to get to the best performance.
