Good day sir!

As I just started getting a real hi-fi headphone (currently Shure 750DJ - an upgrade from Klipsch S4i) I really starting to enjoy my music a lot more.

So for the love of Funk I grant you the Funky beats!
I don't know about you, but I find funk to be one of the most playful gerne ever. (ok, you can also say acid jazz but I like funk more)
I really like the groove of the bass in this gerne. Walking bass, slaps and pull are normally the element of funk that is GREAT! Wooo!

(sry, i was once a bass player. So I am obsessed)

I will try to keep posting a least one song a day or more if I can.

without further comment I present to you
Tower of Power

We had a funk thread here a while ago, but it's been sleepy for a while...

*just heading out the door for a run and throwing some songs on I my iPod. I saw a DJ mix that may be of interest- "the soft sell" by Cut Chemist. It's a bunch of funk 45s, one turntable, and a loop pedal being used for the mix. Lot's of funky bite sized bits in it: http://soundcloud.com/cut-chemist/the-soft-sell

One of my fav band. Funkadelic. extremely groovy although some of the songs are very experimental (i.e. not really singing more like talking but still interesting!)
