I see what they did. They listed by city so the average would be highest. America as a whole is slow.

...what about all those in the city accessing the internet on their 3G? I bet they didn't include those!

I was at MIT dormitory for awhile before and their speed is 50mbps consistently +/-3.

I live in Berkeley, and can tell you with absolute certainty that the internet is not fast. At least not outside of the campus. I have the same dodgy Comcast ********

I have a 10mbps connection with my supplier which is the lowest they do, in two areas of the uk they are trialling 200mbps connections now!
