At 6' 1", I've always towered over many other people. The tallest in every branch of my family. But I guess over there, I'm "average"

I like my 5'11" height. Taller than most of my fellow asians, shorter than most Dutch people.

They eat a lot of dairy products, that helps. In many respects, the Dutch are closer to Scandinavians (also tall) than to other Europeans.

I used to manage operations at a Dutch ISP. I once sent one of my network engineers to install a router at the MAE-West Internet exchange (San Jose, California). It was his first trip to the US, and he told me "Before I left, I had a prejudice about Americans being short, fat people. Now, I know it to be true" (his words, not mine). He was 1m90 (6' 4")...

The average height in the US has actually been falling in recent years. Whether this is due to poor nutrition or immigration is a subject of hot debate.

I'm 6'6" and I don't feel particularly tall here. A lot of my cousins are taller than me.
My little brother is 6'11". We used to play basketball in the same team.
Don't ask. (I'm his BIG brother and there are other ways...

On the other hand, the shortest people are probably in Southeast Asia.
