For the longest time I have wanted to modify my Senn HD555s with a female mini XLR cable and 4 adapters, short 3.5mm, long 3.5mm, short 1/4", and long 1/4". Well I was puppy sitting for a weak and the dog decided that the jack would be a fun chew toy. Needless to say, I have bumped this project up from the back burner. I'm looking for a little advice. I see that the cable has four strands: black, white, blue, and red.

Below is what I am planning on purchasing.

2x Amphenol KS3P-AU - http://www.redco.com/Amphenol-KS3P-AU.html
2x Amphenol ACPS-GN-AU - http://www.redco.com/Amphenol-ACPS-GN-AU.html

I am unsure about the cable and the Mini XLR adapter. For the Mini XLR, I am guess I need 4-pin since there are four conductors, correct? For the cable, well, I just don't know what kind I need at all. My only experience with wiring up cables is for instrument and stompbox pedals which use single conductor unbalanced cable. Can someone point me in the direction of which cable I need -- preferably from Redco so I can purchase all from one place?

Thanks a ton,

Ryan

What you need is microphone cable, so pretty much anything in this section: http://www.redco.com/Bulk-Quad-Microphone-Cable/
