Better to go simple. I was planning some complicated things for my rack, but I realised that either way it's not that cheap of parts, and I don't want to be messing up and having to rebuy parts and waste money.

Did you use rubber washers like I've seen in some designs, or just steel washers & hex nuts like me? I ask because yours is supporting a lot more weight then mine probably ever will.
