I saw several reviews which stated that the Shure 420 by the sound of the same or comparable to the Shure 530.
Is this true? It is worth paying more for the 530? Will I sound better than the 420?

PS: please unsubscribe those who listened to 420.

Hi PoVarR!

I own both phones and a well-summarized, the SE530 is like the SE420 with loudness on!

Moreover, the SE420 is much benefited with the use of an headphone amplifier. If your source has a warmer sound, it may sound a little boring, but very detailed.

I love the two. SE420 is a very detailed and flat sound, more like "professional headphones" or "headphones for work". On the other hand, if I had to choose just one, it would certainly be the SE530. Their sound is more dynamic, fun and the bass and treble is more extended.

Sorry about my poor english!
