Is there anyone who ever compared these two. How is the HG version fit with rs1 or sr325i. If the difference is slight, I am more prefer buying a hg version for the later convinence on other headphones. Thanks

From my experience the regular RA-1 already has a gain that is too high for me. The HG version with Grados would be unlistenably loud.

I agree. Even with the PS1000, the regular RA-1 can get very loud with even a small turn of the volume.

Yes, I've tried RA1-HG and it is loud enough with Grado headphone with little volume. If this is the major difference between hg and regular version, I might consider hg version because it might fit other headphone with high impedance. Thanks for your anwsering =)
