So there was a lot of interest in a post last week asking for "poll" of koss PortaPros vs. Sennheiser PX-100...

PortaPro has that gawd-awful hair-tearin' headband adjustment thingie. That alone is a deal-killer for me.

Then there is the boomy bass

but a basshead I am not.

I prefer the PX100 by a sizable margin.

I will go for the PortaPro's, simply because I have them.

I thought the Portapros sounded better, but I kept the PX100s because they were more practical. They folded up more neatly, and came with a handy box, and they were more comfortable. And when I went for a walk with my Portapros, I could hear the plastic squeaking periodically in my ear. So the Portapros went back to Amazon.

Px100 (newer version), without any doubt. If the question would have been PX100 vs KSC75, I would have hesitated longer.

portapro - I found the PX100 far to dark and muddy. portapro has that treble sparkle I love.
