Frisbees were developed in the earlier part of the 20th century and declined in the late era of the century so it's pretty much a relic of the 20th century.

Back in the old days, people would gather in a park and throw frisbees at each other. Back then there were no cell phones so people had to be creative in passing the afternoon time.

These days, no one plays with a frisbee. Maybe in some obscure parts of some communist countries or former communist countries, you may see some people playing with a frisbee but for the most part, the frisbee has declined.

Sadness...

I haven't played Ultimate since High School and College, but I did play pretty seriously then. There's a guy who does tech shows, lives in NY area, and is on a professional Ultimate team. Heard of MKBHD?

I hope the Frisbee and fascination with it isn't lost

I throw a frisbee fairly regularly. I'm an old Ultrastar chucker, when I was a kid I had a blue 175. Nowadays the girlfriend and I chuck a white 165 pretty regularly. Hard to beat a grassy field, bare feet, and an Ultrastar.

I don't play ultimate anymore, but man what a great sport!
