Hmmm…maybe it's just me, but this one really seems off comparison-wise, DMahler. If we're thinking about years or even periods of activity, I'd kinda like to see U2 up against…I dunno…R.E.M. or the Police?

That's hilarious…makes me think there might have been some acrimony between the Who and the Clash when they toured together around that time. I'm more of a Clash fan, but I saw that tour and the Who just plain blew them away. I've always wondered why the Clash were so off their game that night.

The Clash are fantastic. Every tune is real solid brilliance.
U2 just aren't my cup of tea AT ALL.

Not all into any of them. But I would pick U2 if I had the option...

Even putting the two in the same basket is preposterous.
Joe would not be pleased.

The Clash are the real deal whereas U2 is kinda the fake leather version.

Ugh, I cant believe that. U2 suck, period, Bono might be a great philanthroph, and a half decent singer, but "The Edge" is the biggest joke in rock music history. U2 defines Mediocrity at its sell-out best
