FYI, the challenger M earphones use a dynamic transducer, while the challenger pro1000/c1000 use a knowles ed9689, the exact same driver that's used in the etymotic er4, and the same driver used as the high/mid driver for the sensaphonics 2xs and others.

Kidding, obviously. Anyway, isn't the current for the Stax phones pretty low? It would still hurt, obviously. I've been shocked a couple of times (not by the Stax, but building an amplifier; I accidentally touched a cap that still had a charge in it) and it's pretty unpleasant. It didn't hurt, but your muscles contract, so it felt like my arm was getting squeezed really tightly. I only felt it in my arm since my other arm was behind my back. Really unpleasant feeling though. Anyway, sorry for this off topic post, now back to the regularly scheduled programming...
