I just got my 1st pair of Beyerdynamics in the mail today. I won a pair of Custom Street from Audio 46's Youtube channel.

They work great and the build quality seems great as well, but I was just wondering about the sound of these and if they are fairly representative of the Beyer House Sound.

I'm over dramatizing here, but the sound signature of these kind of sound like a subwoofer hooked up to a clock radio. lol Bass is nice and full, but vocals are tinny and withdrawn.

I don't think these are bad sounding headphones. They are clear, punchy, and provide good detail. I'd probably be pretty happy with them if I did purchase them. They are a great alternative, and possibly better and cheaper, to something like Beats.

I'm just wondering, for future possible purchases, if this general sound signature is the basis of what Beyerdynamic brings to the table with their other headphones?

I just bought a pair of the Beyerdynamic DT990 Premium 600ohm

They look and feel great, very comfortable, Also came with nice carry case. My only complaints about the "build" quality are there is no detachable cable and they have some rather sharp edges on the metal parts. Maybe a future cable mod?

I'm currently in the process of purchasing an amp that can properly drive these. My friend is selling an upgraded Bottlehead Crack amp that i'm going to test them out on. I'm very new to the audiophile world but I'll report back my findings.

I've Tested this on the bottlehead crack amp and they sound great. Very clear and dynamic, by far the best headphones I've owned to date. Great value for dollar too.
