The best PCDP / MDP still in production

What's the best pcdp or mini disk player still in production that can be found some what easily in stores like sam goodie/ compusa ... ECT.

Price doesn't matter I can go up to 500ish if need be.

we dont have a sam goodie, but i know all the mdp and pcdps that our compusa carries are sub-par, lower-end models.

I just won one of those refurbs on ebay. Final price - $118 and change including shipping and tax.

It'll be used with an amp, so the output really isn't an issue. Thanks very much for the link, ER.

you got it precisely. it is the best all around mdr in production to date (i'm guessing D555 just voted because of the netmd capability).

tbdoah: Best current MDR in *production*. MT831 been out of production for a while.

Someday I'm gonna create a company to create audiophile class portables.. *sigh*. The market'll be small, but it'll be a fun 'In my spare time' thing.
