I kind of liked it at first with my Sennheiser hd201. But after getting my Sony zx700 i dont find it to improve anything.

I prefer Audirvana Plus too. Its far best, works great with my DAC. I just wish they put more options to listing and add notifications on song change.

When Im on fly, and don't have DAC connected I use clementine or songbird.

I prefere Fidelia over Audirvana, mainly because of the FHX crossfeed, it works amazing...

The remote-control App for iOS is really nice (https://itunes.apple.com/app/fidelia/id408043917?mt=8). I have not upgraded yet to the Fidelia Advanced player or FHX Add-on (though I tried them while in trial mode).

Hey have you tried using the Vinyls program as an alternative for iTunes? The Vinyls program has a more retro look to it. Here's a site for you to browse to pick one you like: http://mac.appstorm.net/roundups/music-roundups/9-itunes-alternatives-you-should-know-about/
