I am a pretty darn big fan of channy leaneagh, the lead singer of Polica.  I have posted a few polica videos here before.
She was in another band called Roma Di Luna.  they put out 3 albums. WHO KNEW?!?!?!
apparently they were pretty great too! 

     There are so many great videos of this band, its hard to pick... so i just posted the first two i found.

Although I'm not really into 30s/40/50s music, I'm still glad there are some female vocalists keeping alive this kind of music, because it was all about the melody - something which is woefully absent from 90% of modern music.

I can't remember if this vid was ever posted in this thread. It's not the kind of teeny-bopper vid I'd normally ever post (or even watch), but... karaoke or not, this girl really can sing, so I'll let you draw your own conclusions. Zendee Rose Tenerefe. I remember her from the Ellen DeGeneres Show. She actually got pretty famous because of that video which went viral
