Technically I should be posting this in the music section, but I simply had to share...

I've had the odd eargasm or two, just pure ecstatic enjoyment from music.

But tonight, oh man.

Autechre - Bike.

I was literally in tears, this hobby truly is amazing.

Here's to our love of the art of music. *raises glass*

Edit: Share your experiences! The ones that stand out in your mind.

Yep! Nice one.

In the last few days, new stuff for me that gave me chills:

Maceo Parker - Life On Planet Groove - 01-shake_everything_you_ve_got.flac

Jimi Hendrix - Axis Bold As Love - jimi_hendrix-axis_bold_as_love-09-castles_made_of_sand.flac

Al Jarreau - Tenderness - 03 Your Song.mp3

Bjork - Homogenic - 01-hunter_320_lame_cbr.mp3

Jeff Buckley - Live At Sin-e (Legacy Edition) - 03-mojo_pin_320_lame_cbr.mp3

Lots of which was discovered through head-fi! Thanks!

The new Genesis and Moody Blues SACD remasters through my new Esoteric P-03/D-03, also Beethoven's 3rd Symphony on XRCD24.

robm321 - Thanks. These new components are allowing me to rediscover old music. Look for the Genesis on Elusive Disk. They are very reasonably priced.

Cheers.

^ Yeah I have the Genesis box set and all the Moody Blues SACD's. It must be something about okies. Of course, I don't have the source! randerson is going to loan it to me for a year or two. He just doesn't know it yet.

"Bike" is a very eargasm worthy song.

My last honest to god big grin gasm, was with "Me, I'm Not" by Nine Inch Nails.

^ When I get home, you can check it out on dCS, Audio Research, and a big-ass pair of Magnepans after we enjoy our long overdue defeat of the Miami Hurricanes.

Stalingrad, signing off to go chill and listen to music!

Prince - "Diamonds and Pearl" - "Daddy Pop" (especially when they get to the jam section)
Kurk Carr - "No One Else" - "Been So Good" - as funky as it gets!!
