Speaking of the Beyer DT250, back in January when I was looking for a new set of headphones, I saw the DT250-80's at Audio Advisor's site (old layout) for ~$80. I checked that price against other sites and it was so much lower. I wonder if anyone actually bought the headphones back then at that price. I regret not trying, but back then I wasn't willing to spend a few hundred dollars to try several pairs of headphones.

Well, the thing is, the 770 pro's are too hard for anything not using an amp to drive, and the 250-80's, while they are kinda hard to drive, aren't NEAR as bad as the 770's....And also, for the price of the 250-80's, you might wanna consider the Sennheiser HD25's.

Give Todd at Headroom a call, at 800-828-8184.

ded,

Todd recommended the DT 250-80 to me. Great isolation, comfort, and sound. A portable could drive them but they open up with an amp, they sound less dark and the bass becomes tighter, details crisper. I have used the 250-80 through the TA, the MG Head, and the headphone out of my Klipsch 2.1 speakers.

I highly recommend the DT 250-80.

Regards - reynman

First off, you just bumped an 8 year old thread!?

Secondly, what does a generic recommendation of Sennheiser have anything to do with the three headphones in the first post?
