[NGlignum]

Hello all. 
I never thought i would get into the DIY parts of headphones, but i'm here now and i guess there wouldn't be a better place to ask. I decided on buying the HE-500, and i recently asked if i could just buy a balanced cable for them and connect them to a balanced amp, so that go me wondering... Where do i start? Are there any guidelines to cable making or similar? I just thought it would be great if anyone pointed me in the right direction of cable making. I guess I would need connectors and terminations, and I guess the cable itself, but where does anyone get these things? I think I have a solid handle on soldering and electronics, but I'm no expert.
