Wouldn't you say "flavorless" is a bit of an overstatement? Still tastes pretty darn good to me. OTOH, something like grocery store corn on the cob is truly flavorless.

P.S... white turkey meat is healthier (less fat), although it may not taste as good.

Thanks for all the great info guys!

I have to admit, free range chickens do taste A LOT better than the caged ones churned out by Tyson. But it costs 3X as much!

But with all this obesity problem in the U.S., I wonder if it is better to raise the prices on chickens, meats up a bit.

I do... I love steamed broccoli (with a small amount of margarine, and just the right amount of salt)... yummmmy

.

Speaking only for myself, I live a very sedentary lifestyle and have to watch what I eat more closely than the average person. And will be hitting the big "4-0" next year, which is about the point where it's a good idea for anyone to start keeping an eye on health a little more closely.

I don't think that this is the same turkey we had last year.

There are two large flocks (herds?) of wild turkeys that we pass on the train everyday. One is only ten miles from my home.
I'm hoping to run over one of the birds with the train tomorrow, that way all I gotta do is clean and cook. Unless we hit hit badly, then all I'll be able to do is make is turkey burgers

Heh, I saw a pack (what is the correct term for a group of turkeys?) of 4 the other day.

Did you know that they stand almost 4 feet tall and can run about 30 MPH?

I would love to catch one but I'll probably get in trouble.

I think the masthead turkey needs a head-fi T-shirt, if not the undies!

That is odd. The turkey does not appear on Camino, but does in Internet Explorer.

I once dressed up as a turkey for Halloween. No Halloween costume shops sold turkey costumes (they thought I was nuts), so I built it myself.

EDIT: Strangely, the turkey is now visible in Camino.

BTW, why doesn't the turkey have headphones?

Cordless etys.

THE TURKEY SONG

Love to eat turkey
Love to eat turkey
Love to eat turkey cause it's good
Love to eat turkey like a good boy should
Cause it's turkey to eat,
So good

A turkey for me, turkey for you,
Let's eat turkey in a big brown shoe.

Love to eat turkey at the table,
I once saw a movie with Betty Grable.
Eat that turkey all night long,
50 million Elvis fans can't be wrong.

Turkey turkey dee, turkey turkey dap,
I eat the turkey and I take a nap

Thanksgiving is a special night
Jimmie Walker used to say "Dynomite"
That's right!

Turkey with the gravy and the cranberry
Can't believe the Mets traded Darryl Strawberry

Turkey for you, turkey for me,
Can't believe Tyson gave the girl V.D.

Gobble gobble dee, gobble gobble dawkie,
I used to go to camp at Lake Winnepesaukee

Turkey turkey dee, turkey turkey duffin,
Love to eat turkey with a lot of stuffin'
Turkey for me, turkey for you,
Let's eat turkey in a big brown shoe.

Turkey and sweet potato pie,
Sammy Davis Jr. only had one eye
Turkey with the girls, turkey with the boys,
My favorite kind of pants are corduoroys

Gobble gobble gee, gobble gobble gickle
I wish turkeys only cost a nickel.

Oh, I love turkey .. on Thanksgivingggggg

"Happy Thanksgiving, everybody!"
