I've gone through my last 5 pack of Tx-500s and busted another cable.
last I checked, it was $20 for a new cable from Logitech or $30 for the vi cable
Tips were like $25 for a 5 pack.

Before I just run out and grab another set, are there any upgrade recommendations? I haven't looked lately.
Looks like Jaben has cables at about $100, but I'm not looking to spend more than $50 on a cable (I assume my only choice at that point is OEM)
as for the tips, are there any triple flange rubber tips that fit on the UEs?

Thanks in advance

Yup. Kozee can also do it and they cost about the same. They even include an ear impression kit. There is a thread on peoples experience with them too you should check out if you think its worth pursuing.

Should you want to go through with reshelling wait a few weeks and keep a look out for a group discount thread. Its possible they can lower the cost to $100 flat

MEElectronics makes silicone tips that fit.

As for the cables, try Westone.  They're more durable than UEs and are available in 2 different lengths and 4 colors.

Westone cables can replace UE cables? I thought the pin was different (not sure)

Which MEElectronics tips are compatible with it?  Which do you recommend for comfort and ease of use?

Westone/UE/JHA should all work together cable wise. The Westone Epic cables are outstanding, durable, soft, with good sound. This month they're coming out with an iPhone compatible Epic cable too if you have one.

Fitting westone pins into the UE TF10 will enlarge the pins through friction as the pins are longer and thicker, and you will not be able to use any tf10 pinned cables as they will fall right off after prolonged use of the EPIC cables.

Customs wise for the different companies, they might fit, but enlarging of the sockets in the IEMs might occur too
