As an update on my search for closed back cans to go with my Crack addiction things have not turned out well for my wallet.
Craigslist turned up a great condition set of HD-800 early serial number with a price I could not turn down. Even with new earpads and head band pad I ended up under $800. This does not fix the noise dilemma for me at home but a door on my office does.
These things are simply an amazing combo. Been listening to Brubeck, Davis, Isreal Kamakawoole, a little pink floyd and a fair dose of older Godsmack and some 18 year old Single malt.
