I just had a pair of E4's replaced when they failed at 1 year and 10 months. I really appreciate how quick and effortless it was to get a brand new pair sent to me. I will certainly buy Shure in the future and will recommend it to my friends.
Since I have never used Ety or any others, I can't comment on how they compare.

Does anyone know what the actual difference is between E4 and SCL4? From what I can tell, the only difference is the packaging.
