Does anyone have any knowledge about the Terratec Phase 26 USB? There were some talks here about M-Audio Audiophile USB, I am wondering how is the Phase 26 USB compared to Audiophile USB, especially for the sound quality?

It's in Terratec's producer line, and has both optical and coax for digital connection. The price of Phase 26 USB is almost twice of the Audiophile USB, is it worth of the price?

Also, how are these two USB sound cards compared to Audiophie 24/96 PCI card and EWX 24/96 PCI card?

I am trying to figure out what will be the best sounding (for music) external audio cards available in the market (below $400). Is ther any other better choice? The other models I found are Roland/Edirol UA-3D, UA-5, Tascam US-122, and M-Audio Firewire 410.

It's my understand that the Phase 26 is pretty much just an external version of Terratec's DMX 6Fire 24/96. I could be wrong, though. Of course, that's not really a bad thing, because the 6Fire is a really good sound card.
