Greetings, fellow Head-Fiers

I'm gonna upgrade my music rig this fall, and I'm gonna start by buying a new souncard. The Aureon Space caught my attention as it is cheap and based on the Envy24HT. The next upgrade will be a pair of HD-555's, so my question is: Can I plug the 555's in to the Aureon and get good sound out of it? At my pricepoint it's either the TerraTec or an Audigy2....

I found the Aureon to be a bit peaky in the treble (which may actually complement the HD555) but other than that it works quite well for cans. (With a high-impedance load this phenomenon is not present.) Soundstaging is far superior to the likes of a 2ZS.

I think I'll get the TerraTec then

. Does anyone know if this card works well in Linux? That's kinda important, since it's my main OS. Running Ubuntu btw.
