if I wasn't using the price-gauging cable monopoly provider for internet also, I'd have turned off all TV long ago. probably catch two hours of TV per week. mostly HBO recorded on the DVR for later...

I love tv. There are lots of good shows to watch that are not reality tv. Try HBO and Showtime for a start.

(Of course it helps that I do work for a cable company and big juicy discounts !!)
