so my schools electronics lab was about to throw out a bunch of stuff, and i have the opportunity to grab an oscope for free (already snagged an old fluke benchtop multimeter)

probably a shot in the dark, but does anyone know if i should grab the 2213, or the 2213a, theres a handful of both, and they all seemingly work fine without actually measuring anything

Hmmm, this doesn't directly answer your question, but check out http://reviews.ebay.com/A-Guide-to-T...:-1:LISTINGS:4 for a little info on the scopes.

I'd almost say grab 2 and ship me one, it should be good for audio

I believe the 2213A has more mathmatical funtions (invert, add). May not be important to you, but hey, the more funtions the better!!

well, my lab snagged 8, and i was lucky enough to be able to get myself 1, but i took the 2213a, now to ebay some probes and i'm in business, tested it out this afternoon and its in good working order after measuring some reference signals off our lock-in amplifier
