You should be able to see this (under XP anyway; don't know about Vista) by:

Right-click on the drive (via My Computer) -> Properties -> Recording tab

So it's really not there?

Yeah there isn't even a recording tab on the properties of my drive.
All there is is general, autoplay, hardware, and sharing.
