I want to do something that seems pretty simple..Record a video on my digital camera of me playing something on acoustic guitar while simultaneously recording the audio onto my computer in Cubase. What program should I use to sync the audio I record with the .avi that is recorded on my camera?

Can't you run video inside cubase?

Edit thats not going to help you mux the audio and video together sorry.

I thought Cubase could do simple video editing...

But, from what I hear, Nuendo is even better for that purpose. If you want a free solution, try VirtualDub. Here's a nice little FAQ that should help you out.
