I use mine with Windows 10 and for awhile I had major issues, but it was traced back to the driver installation, namely some features were checked that shouldn't have been. Anyway I'm using it only with Wasapi via Music Bee but once in a while have stutters and drop outs but nothing to a level I would be too worried. Having said that it was more stable with my old Win7 laptop unfortunately it had suffered a hard disc failure and hence why it is out of my system and why I use the new Win 10 computer. YMMV.
I had that several times when I had the 301 and had to restart the computer even under Win 7. I believe it is a software issue and I believe my culprit was Tidal. It even effected my Mac Book Pro with my Yggy with the Tidal app. Running Tidal from Chrome and no problems but the app kills all audio.Hi, I'm having the same sorts of issues with my UD-301. It plays for awhile, then the frequency lights start flashing and it starts to stutter and get garbled. Did you get yours stabilized? Do you recall what settings you used?
Thanks

For a DAC that costs nearly 2 grand more i would hope its better.I know this may seem like a stupid question, but how did the UD-301 compare to the Yggdrasil?

What hi-fi have a review online, looks a very nice dac,its nearly £200 more than the 301,no DSD and usb only does 24/96,the new m-dac+ does dsd through usb but is twice the price of the 301.Anyone have the chance to compare the UD-301 to an AudioLab M-DAC?
Looks like an interesting DAC, the only issue I've read is that although it's very resolving and dynamic, it (allegedly) can sound clinical and bright. The M-DAC also has an ESS9018 chip. What hi-fi have a review online, looks a very nice dac,its nearly £200 more than the 301,no DSD and usb only does 24/96,the new m-dac+ does dsd through usb but is twice the price of the 301.
