TASCAM DA-3000 in ADDA mode, no level meters?

Anybody have one of these? I don't have SD cards yet so I'm playing around in ADDA mode. It works fine, coax signal is decoded and sent to the analog outs. But I don't know how to get the level meters to display.

Looks like the meters are inactive when ADDA is used.
