I have a question about pads.
I bought my pair of Hifiman HE-400S used, and they came with angled (tapered) velour pads which are fairly soft and very comfortable, but they were starting to show signs of wear. I ordered a new set of velour pads direct from HiFiMan, but they are not tapered, and they feel rather stiff and uncomfortable.
Where can I find a set of soft tapered pads like the ones I have? I am not interested in something other than velour pads. I also have a set of Focus-A pads, and prefer the sonics of the velour pads.

You want HM5 angled pads by Brainwavz,either velour or pleather(subjective as to which is better)

Some folks have trouble fitting the mounting ring with HM5 and have slightly trimmed the ring,but this can also be accomplished with careful stretching if you dont want to trim the mounting ring.....You will also need something to keep it firmly attached,heavy duty double sided tape works very well
