This is fromt he description of the Rage Ear:
"The Ear simply connects to the tape output of an amplifier via phono leads"

What is a tape output?
and what are phono leads?

So if I plan on just running this thing from a line out of an mp3 player, what cables do I need?

sounds like you will need RCA plugs on one end of your cable - the other will probably be a mini plug. what type of mp3 player do you have? if it has a line out on it, the mini to rca interconnect will be the way to go. if you have an ipod, you can plug it into the headphone out, but i suggest investing in a Sik Din or Pocketdok lineout dock connector, then sticking your mini-rca IC into that.

if a stereo receiver has a crappy headphone out, you can snake rca to rca interconnects from its tape out to your amp - that's what the rega ear instructions probably mean.

Ohh ok, all I need is a mini-RCA, that's cool
I am gonna run it from the linout from Nomad Jukebox 3.

The tape out thing really scared me... the word "tape", sounds so distant, like 8-track.
