I have an Altec Lansing ACS33 that I sometimes use with laptops. The thing is though, everything, and I do mean everything, comes out with enormous bass.

Is there any way to tame the bass on this unit? Mods? Tweaks? Hammer? It has no tone or bass controls...

in case you're using the laptop against a wall or a corner of your room, move away from room boundaries to tame bass a bit. another simple tweak is to make sure the speakers are on a semi sturdy surface, after that point there really isn't anything else you can do physically.

i'd take advantage of winamp's equalizer deal if it continues to be a problem.
