Anyone know how to get these open?

My dog chewed on the cable and bit it off right at where it exits the headphone. Cushions are messed up, found those online though.

If anyone has any insight on how the black part pulls away from the white part (I have the white ones) I'd appreciate it.

It might also be noteable that these are the older version.

looks to be the same. I thought maybe it snapped in but now that I know its glue it makes more sense. Sucks though.

I notice the membrane on one of the drivers is punched in at one spot, do you think that effects the sound a lot?

Yeah, I don't really want to make the effort to recable them if they are going to sound like crap though.

Remember, my dog chewed on them, so I'm thinking one of his teeth got in there at pushed on it.
