So I'm looking to take apart a spare HD650 cable to do a recable of it into a short cable with some sleeving simply for convience and aesthetic reasons.
I was wondering if anyone has any information on salvaging the left, right plugs from a official sennheiser cable.
I don't really want to pay 16 bucks for a pair of plugs especially when i have a extra cable here.\

Thanks and Best Regards

You cut the Senn cable a few inches below the connector and splice the new cable onto the ends of the old one. This is the best you can do without getting the Cardas connectors.

Do not (no, seriously) try to open the Senn connectors. They are a single piece injection molding, molded around the pins. There is no way to take them apart.
