Take full advantage of HD650

If you haven't purchased the HD650's yet it might be a better idea to more evendly distribute your funds by buying less headphones and spending more on your source and amp.

Try mine. With the right mods here and there you can get what you can't afford.

I built these things for HD650s:

Since that build I have moved to a USB-I2S interface on the latest version (although without headphone outputs - the next build will be a 24 chip unit with headphone output again).

problem is you'll have to build one yourself - nobody sells them, and it'll cost much more than the HD650s. However, there's nothing better than having a top grade DAC feeding your headphones directly, no amps, only two blackgates in the signal path between DAC output pins and your headphone jack...

This type of story makes me wish i were engineering type.
how about a Zhaolu-Eddie Current amp combo? it'll cost 250 and 349.
