My friend and I definitely had the impression that with his current setup (Envy with stock power tubes and NOS driver tubes + MMT), the Sol P had a stronger bass with more physicality to it while also being technically very impressive. It is interesting you felt the Sol P has more bass and better bass than the Immanis. I saw the Sus mentioned. While I also prefer the OG Sus and the Sus Unveiled ( SUV ) to the Sol P, I do feel the bass of the Sol P is better. It is definitely stronger than the OG Sus. I find the SUV closes that gap, but the issue is the midrange. Both SUS, to me, feel like they lift a veil off of the Sol P, especially with vocals. But on instrumentals, especially if they have strong bass, the Sol P excels for me. Sometimes it can almost be too powerful.
I would have thought the Immanis would have an even more powerful bass from other impressions. Eventually I will have them side by side. Thanks for your impressions.
That said, the Immanis as a whole package is the more refined headphone no doubt about it, Sol P being a nice side headphone as it is more colored tuning wise and makes a lot of fun, especially because of said bass performance.
I will definitely get an Immanis eventually as my main headphone, but the Sol P will stay as contrast as its dark sound is very unusual with that level of technicalities.
OG Sus/Sus Unveiled try to go in a similar direction that Immains goes tuning and presentation wise, a life like neutral presentation (my preference being OG Sus because of the midrange you mentioned), and therefore I personally would choose between either a Sus or Immanis.
