Hey there Head-Fi,
I was hoping some of you could recommend me an amp for my Grado SR225. Currently I have no DAC to plug it in to, but I was thinking about getting a USB DAC at the same time, possibly a Fubar II. So I was wondering, what ~$100 amp would work good with the SR-225?(I was thinking about a Go-Vibe 6) And could someone reccomend a ~$100 DAC too?(Or is the Foobar II that good?)

I enjoy my Go-Vibe v4 with my MS-1's and HD580's, though don't have much other experience with amps (other than my dad's definitely more than $100 amps). The Go-Vibe won't have any problem powering your Grados.

I'm sure other people will have better suggestions for DACs. I use a M-Audio Transit (thinking of upgrading, don't know what though). I'd search Head-Fi for info on the Silverstone EB01 amp. Its less than $90 from Newegg. I haven't listened to it though.

The Go-Vibe 5 (LM6172/LM6171) as well as the PA2V2 go well with the Grado SR line up to the SR-80 or SR-125. I think the SR-225 deserves a Go-Vibe 6 or a Porta Corda MkIII.
