I'm looking at buying the Sennheiser 650s and a Corda Arietta amp. Does anyone have this combo? I want info on how well they synergize with each other and whether the Arietta can comfortably/properly drive these headphones. I'm also interested in the HeadRoom Micro Amp, so the same info with this product and the 650s is also appreciated.

The synergy between my HD650 and Headfive was poor. The H5 made the cans sound too warm, dynamics were dulled, and the sound wasn't engaging. Since the Arietta is a tweaked H5, it should produce a similar sound.

Hmm, so does anyone have info on the HD650 with the Headroom Micro Amp then? I'm thinking desktop module with no DAC for now.

At that price point, I found the Creek OBH-21 to be VASTLY superior to the Headfive. It's much more powerful, more neutral/cleaner and more synergistic with the HD-650 (controls the bass really well). It did not take me long to sell away the H5.
