Symphonium Helios impression thread

I’ve really fallen in-love with my HSE. ❤️

Now using them with Divinus Velvets.

I appreciate it’s subjective and very much depends on your preferences, but for me the HSE is the best iem I’ve ever heard, period.

My MMK3 has more of a wow factor, but the HSE is just so well balanced, it’s truely special.

The set is just wonderfully tuned and perfect for my preferences.

Also that sub-bass that’s produced from a BA is just phenomenal.

Got these today :L3000:

They’re much smaller than I expected. They sound great with the right music, but I wasn’t expecting the mids to sound quite so lean and the midbass to sound almost non-existent.

I read from a few impressions that the HSE had a little more mid bass and warmth versus the standard OG Helios, so I was a little surprised. The MMK3 sounds like a warm iem in comparison.

The sub-bass is really impressive, especially for a BA.

I was on the fence about the HSE or Crimson, I decided on the HSE as I already have the MMK3, and felt the tuning of the Crimson would be too similar, and I want a rounded collection of iem’s, rather than have several with the exact same tuning, as it seems kind of pointless.

Glad you like the Helios SE!
We hope you'll try the Crimsons when you get the chance - I think we may be hosting a few tours soon.

IMHO they do sound noticeably different from the HSE, especially the soundstage, treble and sub-bass.

I’m still loving the HSE. I really hope I get the opportunity to try the crimson too. If I could get the in on a tour that would be amazing, yet also bad - for my bank account!

It’s amazing what you guys can do with 4 ba’s. It really shows that it’s all about implementation and not configuration. And the answer to improving sound is not just squeezing more drivers into the shell.

I try them... and still prefer my Helios OG :relieved: Crimsons has to much weight in lower registry for my liking.

What is it you prefer about the Helios OG over the SE?

It’s just the same as the OG Helios, but with smaller shells, shorter nozzles and a touch more midbass. Nothing like the Meteor whatsoever.

Also good to note that the Helios SE is a retailer exclusive (Elise Audio) and thus not widely available to demo.

The treble for the HSE is close to the Helios but not exactly the same due to differences in shallow vs deep fit.
The nozzle length of the Helios does play a part in it's treble presentation and overall tuning.

However, the HSE is by far more comfortable to use for most due to the redesigned shell and shorter nozzle.
