I'm wondering, would it be suitable to replace a NJM4565 opamp with an AD8620 in a preamp circuit designed for the NJM4565? The latter has a much higher slew rate than the former. I'm currently working on plans to modify and upgrade an Onkyo R-805X my dad gave me. I got the schematic online and managed to isolate the power amp sections, the preamp section, the power supplies, and the digital sections. I'm also planning to replace some electrolytics (12 of them, to be exact) in the power supply (+/- 23.9V for power amp @ 20W/channel into 4 ohms, +/- 12.8V for preamp) and coupling caps in the preamp section. They use 10uF/50V for coupling before and after the preamp section, and last time I checked, these were Nichicon VX capacitors. I was thinking of using some bipolar Nichicon Muse ES in there instead.
